Google Cloud describes its Gemini agent as a universal agent for work, designed to handle business questions, content creation and coding through a single prompt box. The ambition is to turn a request into finished work using an organization’s business context. Those capabilities have not been independently verified.

How the intended workflow works

The workflow Google outlines starts with an employee entering a request. The agent would then plan the task, use skills and tools, and connect to business systems to carry it out. Google describes results arriving inside documents, inboxes and developer environments that employees already use.

The intended handoff matters: a request would begin in the prompt window, while the result would land in the application where the employee needs to use it.

Business context is central to that design. The agent is intended to use organizational information while working on a request, though that should not be taken as a guarantee that it can access every piece of company information.

Model selection and enterprise controls

Google also describes automatic model selection, built-in cost controls, and security, administration and governance features for enterprise customers. Those features are intended to support the management of an agent that works across business systems.

The claim that it chooses the best model for a task remains unverified, as does whether its controls meet enterprise requirements in practice. A claim about model selection does not establish the quality of a particular result, and enterprise suitability would depend on the requirements of the organization using it.
