Asus unveiled a 48GB Republic of Gamers DDR5 memory kit on May 15, 2026, marking the gaming brand’s 20th anniversary. The company said the limited-edition kit was expected to go on sale in Taiwan in June.
The reported mainland China launch price is 5,999 yuan, equivalent to about US$880 by direct currency conversion before taxes. Sales there are reportedly planned for late June.
Called ROG ARCANA DDR5 in Taiwan, the kit contains two 24GB modules and features a black-and-gold design with Aura Sync RGB lighting. It extends a ROG hardware range that includes motherboards, graphics cards, gaming desktops and gaming laptops.
Specifications and ROG Mode
Reported specifications list DDR5-6000 with CL26-36-36-76 timings at 1.45V. Asus says ROG Mode enables 6,000MT/s at CL26 when the kit is paired with a ROG AMD motherboard.
A separate reported description of ROG Mode lists DDR5-8000 with 36-48-48-110 timings at 1.40V for compatible ROG motherboards. Asus separately promotes overclocking to 8,000MT/s and beyond.
Asus says the modules use SK hynix M-die chips, are optimized for AMD EXPO and Intel XMP, and come with a lifetime warranty.
The announcement comes amid rising memory contract prices. In its April 2026 DRAM contract-price assessment, market researcher TrendForce said PC DRAM contract prices had risen during the quarter, although the pace of increases had slowed.
