Dell’s 2026 XPS 14 combines Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors with a choice of 14-inch LCD and tandem OLED displays, with starting weights of about 3 pounds. The redesigned laptop restores physical function keys and uses integrated graphics across its configurations.
Introduced at CES in January 2026 as Dell brought back the XPS brand, the model also adds markings around the active area of its glass haptic touchpad. Processor, memory and display choices distinguish the configurations.
Processor and graphics options
Processor options include the eight-core Intel Core Ultra 5 325 and Core Ultra 7 355, alongside the 16-core Core Ultra X7 358H. The eight-core models use Intel Graphics, while the X7 configuration uses Intel Arc B390 integrated graphics. The 2026 XPS 14 does not offer a discrete graphics option.
Configurations include 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The processor choice affects both CPU core count and graphics hardware, so the specifications differ across the range.
LCD and tandem OLED screens
The non-touch LCD has a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, marketed as 2K. Dell lists a brightness rating of 500 nits and a variable refresh range of 1Hz to 120Hz. The panel can reduce its refresh rate for static content and increase it for motion.
The tandem OLED touchscreen has a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels, marketed as 2.8K, and a refresh range of 20Hz to 120Hz. Dell positions the LCD option for longer battery life; its published endurance test described below used an LCD configuration.
Dimensions, materials and connections
The XPS 14 uses CNC-machined aluminum and a Gorilla Glass 3 palm rest. It measures 12.19 inches wide by 8.26 inches deep. Dell lists the OLED version at 0.58 inches thick with a starting weight of 3.00 pounds, compared with 0.60 inches and 3.05 pounds for the LCD version.
Connections comprise three Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports supporting DisplayPort 2.1 and Power Delivery, plus a 3.5mm audio jack. Dell also lists Kensington lock support through the USB-C ports. The laptop has no built-in USB-A port, HDMI port or memory-card reader; those connections require external adapters or a dock. Wireless connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0.
Battery capacity and Dell’s endurance claim
The XPS 14 has a 70Wh battery. Dell’s published local video-playback result applies to a configuration with a Core Ultra 7 355 processor, Intel Graphics, a 2K LCD, 16GB of memory and a 1TB SSD.
Dell said that configuration achieved 40 hours and 27 minutes of local Full HD video playback in laboratory testing conducted in November 2025. The display was set to 150 nits and wireless was enabled.
The reported runtime applies specifically to that LCD configuration and test workload. Dell cautions that actual battery life may be significantly shorter and varies with configuration, software, usage, operating conditions and power-management settings.
