Intel is expected to give its Arc G3 gaming handheld platform a more formal reveal on May 28, according to new reporting from VideoCardz. The announcement has not been publicly confirmed by Intel, but it would line up with the company’s earlier handheld messaging around Panther Lake and the timing of Computex.
The platform is being framed as Intel’s first dedicated push into processors aimed specifically at Windows-style gaming handhelds. Intel teased that direction at CES 2026 with a “Handhelds Unleashed” partner slide, but it did not publish final product names, specifications, or launch timing at the event.
MSI and Acer are linked to early Arc G3 handhelds
MSI appears to be one of the clearest early partners. Retail listings have pointed to a Claw 8 EX AI+ configuration using Arc G3 Extreme, 32GB of memory, a 1TB SSD, an 8-inch 1920×1200 120Hz display, Wi-Fi 7 and an 80Wh battery. Those details still come from listings rather than a final Intel or MSI launch announcement, so they should be treated as pre-release information.
A European listing has also mentioned a Launch Pack version of the MSI handheld. That could point to a bundle or accessory package, but the exact meaning has not been confirmed.

The MSI Claw 8 AI+ is the most relevant current comparison point for readers tracking Intel-powered handheld gaming PCs. It gives buyers a real-world reference while Arc G3 models remain unannounced.

Acer is also reportedly preparing an Intel-based handheld under the Predator Atlas 8 name. If accurate, that would suggest Acer may shift at least part of its handheld gaming strategy toward the Predator brand after a limited rollout of its earlier Nitro Blaze models.

Intel has not shared official Arc G3 specifications yet. Earlier leaks have described two possible handheld chips: Arc G3 and Arc G3 Extreme. Both are said to use a 14-core CPU layout with 2 P-cores, 8 E-cores and 4 LP-cores.
The graphics configuration is less certain. The Arc G3 Extreme variant has been reported with a 12-core Xe3 GPU, while the standard Arc G3 has been reported with a 10-core Xe3 GPU. Those figures have not been independently verified and should not be treated as final product specifications.
