Despite the Halo TV series having yet to air a single episode, Paramount Plus has already renewed it for a second season. The revelation was revealed during a Tuesday investor conference by Paramount (previously ViacomCBS). The show’s first season will premiere on the streaming site on March 24th. Season two’s showrunner will be David Wiener, who will take over from season one’s showrunners Steven Kane and Kyle Killen.

Pablo Schreiber plays Master Chief Spartan John-117 in the series. Dr. Halsey, played by Natascha McElhone, is a scientist who is genetically developing super-soldiers to battle the Covenant, an extraterrestrial alliance. Jen Taylor portrays Cortana, the “highest sophisticated AI in human history,” according to the press. Shabana Azmi, Natasha Culzac, Olive Gray, Yerin Ha, Bentley Kalu, Kate Kennedy, Charlie Murphy, Danny Sapani, and Bokeem Woodbine are cast members.

The first trailer for the program was released on February 1st.
